This is my rendition of the Baby Tart hat from Knitty. Considering the upcoming baby boom among our friends, I thought it would be a good idea to get moving on the baby stuff.

These were some armwarmers that I knit for my friend Jia. It's a really simple pattern that I made up, and it's knit out of Shine Sport from Knit Picks in Orchid. I have to say that yarn knits up REALLY nicely. It feels super soft, and for a cotton yarn that really is something else.

At least you've been knitting! I am a delinquent blogger AND knitter. But I have been, um, acquiring yarn. Someday maybe I'll actually get off my ass and talk about it!
Such a sweet little hat! I need to get on the baby knitting too, I have the yarn for little cotton bibs and also little baby sweaters. Just need to make the time to knit them....
