Finally, some photos!

As I promised, here are some photos of projects that I've been working on.

Here's my attempt at the multi-directional scarf that you told me about. I'm using Noro Shinano, and boy is it ever fun to knit with! This one is for my dad...don't you think the yarn just epitomizes 'Dad colours'?

Sometimes I get careless and forget to turn around the short row and end up knitting to the end. Happens when I'm all distracted...like at the Stitch 'n Bitch....

Next up is the start of the wrist warmers that I'm making. I think this yarn will make a good Kitty hat too. Incidentally, my friend did love the kitty hat that I gave her.

As you can see, I have very little progress on these right now...

Lastly, are the two mystery projects. They're gifts so I can't show the whole thing, but I just couldn't resist taking a quick photo of each.

Ahh....fuzzy....

That's it for me right now!

Your scarf looks great so far! You want to know something funny? I made a gray/brown/black scarf for my dad last year too. Are those universal "dad colours", or are our fathers just boring? =P

That mohair yarn looked a little freaky and hairy in the ball (or at least in your picture of the ball), but it's looking great knitted up so far!

Mystery projects look fun. And bright. And furry. Fun and bright and furry, my favourite! =)

LOL! That's so funny that we picked similar colours for our dads. While our fathers may be boring (>_<), I think that it really is just a universal thing for dads to get grey/brown/tweedy stuff. The knitters at the Stitch 'n Bitch guessed that it was for my dad too.

Know what? I ended up frogging the mohair wrist-warmer that I started. I discovered that the pattern is too big for my wrist. So now, I'm trying to decide if I should cut out 4 more stitches (it's a k2 p2 rib) or try a smaller needle size. I started on size 7 dpns, and suspect that I'd have to go to a size 4 or 5...which I don't have. The other option is to knit it flat and seam it...but I just hate seaming...

As Mr. Seshadri used to say, 'What to do?'

I personally am not a huge fan of dpns, I find them rather unwieldy, so I would probably just knit flat and seam later. Even though I, too, hate seaming. But that's probably because I'm not very good at it yet! =)
